I’ve become one of those bloggers who stays up so late and blogs with the australians omggggg
say what you like about frozen but the fact is, the second highest grossing animated film ever, now with a golden globe and an oscar behind it, is a film about two sisters, one of whom suffers from tangible depression and anxiety attacks, and the most important relationship is that of their love for each other and i think that’s pretty darn cool
In a way fighting like this was just like using magic. You said the words, and they altered the universe. By merely speaking you could create damage and pain, cause tears to fall, drive people away, make yourself feel better, make your life worse.
Magic wasn’t going to solve everything. Couldn’t she see that? Couldn’t she see that they were all dying, that everything was futile, that the only thing to do was to live and drink and fuck whatever and whomever while you still could?
I think "Magicians Fandom" is too general. It's impossible to search for anything. Can we call ourselves something else? The Brakebills fandom? The Fillory Fandom?
I quite like the alliteration of the latter, but I’m curious on everyone’s thoughts. And maybe if we get a big enough presence, we can get Lev to acknowledge us as one or the other so it’d be easier for people to find other’s in the Brakebills/Fillory Fandom! :D
Free Traders Beowulf sounds lovely.
